Mark Gil is Dead

Veteran actor Mark Gil passed away at around 8 in the morning today, September 1, 24 days before his 53rd birthday.

Raphael Joseph De Mesa in real life, the veteran actor died of cirrhosis or advance liver disease.

Gil was last seen playing Maja Salvador's estranged father is ABS-CBN toprating primetime series "The Legal Wife."

He was survived by his wife and children including actors Andi Eigenmann, Gabby Eigenmann and Sid Lucero.

Is Cristine Reyes Pregnant?

Rumors spreading in online, actress Cristine Reyes is allegedly pregnant. Her rumored pregnancy started from a blind item until a showbiz blogsite fearlessly named her as the subject.

According to the getitfromboy.net, the actress was spotted last Friday August 29, with her friends in a restaurant. Allegedly, the actress was seen making a toast twice with a prominent stomach bump during dinner. She also avoided to drink wine, instead she drank a glass of water.

On her Official Instagram account she posted different foods mostly it is "Santol" and "Lanzones".

Prior to this rumor, is the fact that the sexy actress decided not to take any roles that would require her to show more skin in the future. She turned down the remake of Colombian telenovela, "Passion de Amor" with the Fil-Am actress Angelica Panganiban.

Meanwhile, Cristine Reyes is still in a relationship with mixed martial artist Al Khatibi.

Derek Ramsay's Ex-Wife Mary Christine Jolly Surfaced

Mary Christine Jolly, the estranged wife of Derek Ramsay, faced the camera on Friday noting that she will never back out with their legal disputes.

Recently, Derek Ramsay's Estranged Wife Jolly surfaced and filed a complaint against actor Derek Ramsay in Violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act. Derek Ramsay's Estranged Wife admitted that she's asking for financial support for their 11-year-old son, but denied that she is demanding P48 million from the actor.

According to Jolly she and Ramsay got married in 2002 in Balagtas, Bulacan, which was also confirmed by the actor. She said they separated due to disagreements with her opting to live in Dubai raising their son all by her self. She decided to contact Ramsay about their son after he started to ask about him.

In earlier statements, Ramsay said he was able to confirm that he has a son with Jolly in August 2011 and explained that he didn’t show him to the world as he wanted to “Keep my relationship with him private."

"I wanted to know my son first and keep my relationship with him private," Ramsay said. "He was just an 8-year-old boy then and he would not be able to comprehend the possible media curiosity, specially he was then new to the country and about to pursue his education here."

Jolly claimed that she informed Ramsay about her pregnancy, but the actor ignored her. She kept in touch with Ramsay despite he allegedly continued not to speak with her until 2010 when she decided to go back in the Philippines with their son.

"I just wanted to assert my rights as mother to my kid. Derek is using his money to influence my son's behavior. I want to live a normal life again. I just hope that the law will favor and protect us from the abuses committed against us by Derek," Jolly said.

Atty. Jojo Alonso, the legal counsel of Ramsay, said the camp of the actor will answer the allegations in court.

'Bistado' Probes CCTV Footage of 17-Year-Old Girl Who Jumped Out of a Car

“Bistado,” anchored by Julius Babao, digs out the story behind the shocking CCTV footage of 17-year-old girl, who jumped out of a car naked to escape her alleged abductor in “Bistado” this Monday (September 1).

Based on the girl’s statement, she was waiting for a public utility vehicle along Martinez St. in Mandaluyong City when a car stopped in front of her, and a foreigner asked her for directions. Suddenly, the foreigner allegedly grabbed and took her inside the car and attempted to rape her.

“Bistado” goes to the place of the incident to shed light on the case and interviews the witnesses.

‘Forevermore’ Starring Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano Teaser Released (Video)

VIRAL: Robinsons Place Dumaguete Refused PWD with Assistance Dog (Video)

A Robinsons mall refuses entry to foreigner with assistance dog.

Several photos of a foreigner laying on the floor in front of one the entrances of Robinsons Dumaguete has gone viral. The photo was taken on August 27, 2014 with one uploader saying that a foreigner wanted to enter the mall facilities, but was prohibited by the security personnel due to he has a pet.

The man was later found out as Mark Cohen, a foreigner who is a certified Person with Disability (PWD). He is struggling with a “neurological disorder with variant symptoms similar to epilepsy, Parkinsosnism, and sensitivity to changes in environment such as temperature and light.”

His pet is named Happy, a certified assistance dog who use to be Cohen’s therapy dog . The man claimed that after Happy came, his functions went well and was able to do this without the help of any other human.

Mark Cohen arrived in the Philippines on August 14, 2014. He plans to retire here. On August 17, he went to Robinsons Place Dumaguete with Happy. Unfortunately, the guard on duty would not let him in because of the mall's strict "no pet allowed inside" policy.

The foreigner was blocked and even closed the entrance door when he tried to get inside. Cohen explained that despite showing papers certifying his use for Cohen he was disallowed. The security people reasoned that they are not allowed to decide on the matter. But, he claimed that he waited for an hour, but no feedback yet from the management. He lay in front of the entrance as a protest.

After an hour, the situation got worse when they called the police and accused Cohen of public disturbance. He was then brought to the police station in handcuffs. This actually was not the first time the big mall refused to let him in.

Robinsons Answered

After the negative comments the company received, Robinsons set the records straight. The management said:

The company added that it welcomes all people in the mall including those with medical conditions and it is standing on upholding the safety of customers.

PWD Rights

The country however has a law providing protection for people like Cohen. The Republic Act No. 7277, or the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability observes the rights to access of all public places in any form of public transportation. The law however doesn’t define assistance dogs to help PWDs.

Ronel Del Rio, a “Promoter” of the “3rd Decade of with Disabilities 2013-2023″ chosen by the United Nations-Economic and Social Commissions in the Asia Pacific (UN-ESCAP), said that the mall didn’t broke any laws, but should have taken in consideration that the dog was a big help for Cohen.

Anti Selfie Bill Filed in Congress, House Bill 4807

For those who loves to take selfies in everyday of their lives and in everything they do, this may somehow serve as a bad news.

Bayan Muna Representative Carlos Zarate revealed that there is a bill prohibiting taking photos of people, private properties and many more without permission.

The House Bill 4807 or the Protection against Personal Intrusion Act, which was sponsored and endorsed by 1st District of Misamis Occidental Rep. Jorge T. Almonte is now on it 3rd reading in the plenary.

This defines “intrusion of personal privacy” as “any person who willfully intrudes into the personal privacy of another, without the consent of that person and with the intent to gain or profit therefrom, shall be civilly liable to the offended party.”

Zarate said if passed into law this bill will “punish with civil suit taking photos, video or even audio recording anything claimed as personal/family matter even of public officials and personalities.” He added that even taking pictures of self with “public figure at the background would be liable for ‘intrusion of privacy’.”

He called this absurd and called his colleague to reconsider the bill.

The bill considered the following as intrusion into personal privacy of another and shall be presumed to have been committed with intent of profit and claim:

• Capturing by camera or sound recording instrument of any type of visual image, sound recording or other physical impression of any person.
• Trespassing on private property in order to capture any type of visual image, sound recording or other physical impression of any person.
• Capturing any type of visual image, sound recording or other physical impression of a person or family activity through the use of a visual or auditory enhancement device even when no physical trespass has occurred, when the visual image, sound recording or other physical impression could not have been captured without a trespass if no enhancement device was used.

Victims of this “intrusion of privacy” may find relief, which includes compensation, punitive damages, and injunctive and declaratory relief.

The only exemption for this bill are the act of law enforcement activities.

Media Reacted

The Photojournalist Center of the Philippines (PCP) said the bill should clearly define what is “internet to gain or profit therefrom.”

“It would seem that people from media and journalists can be targets of the proposed measure,” said PCP board member Jose Torres Jr. “Worthy of being emphasized is the phrase ‘with intent to gain or profit therefrom.’ in case a complaint is filed in court against a photojournalist, can lack of intent to gain be used as defense.”

The PCP also wanted the bill to clearly define “private property.”

“Private property must be spelled out and defined. Pubic places, cars, public transport, public buildings, among others, and individuals, who by nature of their position or profession are classified as public figures, cannot claim violation of privacy. Does ‘personal privacy’ extend to public domain or public places in private spaces, for instance malls, shopping centers, events venues, a luxurious resorts, among others?”

The group also asked the media should also be exempted as well as those that fall under educating, warning, exposing incidents and other events that can benefit the majority.

The group expressed concerns that the freedom of expression may be suppressed.

Hayden Kho in "Face The People" Exclusive Tell-All Interview this Friday

High-profile doctor Hayden Kho who got famous for the private video scandals that shook the nation gives an exclusive tell-all on TV5's social reality talk show Face The People this Friday (August 29).

People first took notice of him as a promising young cosmetic surgeon known to be in a relationship with celebrity doctor Vicki Belo and part of her clinic, the Belo Medical Group.

Hayden's world took an unexpected turn after a series of private video scandals involving him and numerous partners surfaced. On his exclusive tell-all on Face The People, Hayden is almost in-tears as he confess on the many things that he's been through: his drug dependence for almost seven years, abandonment of people we once called friends, and his two failed attempts to end his life.

He also shares how Dr. Vicki Belo has been generous in helping him go through his ordeals. Vicki, whom Hayden admits as "the woman who loved me [Hayden] the most" has been instrumental to his renewal. It was also Belo who announced that Hayden got his license back.

But not everyone is convinced by Hayden's change of heart. For entertainment columnists Ismaelli Favatini and Ruel Villacorta, it would be very difficult for Hayden to get back the trust of the people especially because Hayden was the first celebrity who got involved in a private video scandal. They also speculate that Hayden's issue became controversial because people who envied the doctor took the opportunity to bring him down.

Meanwhile, Hayden's long time friend Dr. Karen Lipana testifies that Hayden is now a changed man. Knowing Hayden since their medical school years in UST, Dra. Karen claims that the controversial doctor is different from the man he knew before and has fully committed himself to living the word of God.

Yes, you read it right! Hello Kitty is a human girl.

The truth revealed by anthropologist at the University of Hawaii/Hello Kitty scholar Christine R. Yano, who has studied the phenomenon surrounding the minimalist meower for years. Yano is currently curating a Hello Kitty exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

Yano discovered this when the Sanrio folks corrected her after she described Hello Kitty as a cat in her written texts for the exhibit.

"I was corrected — very firmly," she said. "That's one correction Sanrio made for my script for the show. Hello Kitty is not a cat. She's a cartoon character. She is a little girl. She is a friend. But she is not a cat. She's never depicted on all fours. She walks and sits like a two-legged creature. She does have a pet cat of her own, however, and it's called Charmmy Kitty."

According to BuzzFeed, it is allegedly that Hello Kitty is actually a human British girl named as Kitty White with a background story of her own. It turns out that Hello Kitty was created during the time when Japanese women romanticized the life in England.

Who is Kitty White?

Kitty White is a twin and a perpetual third-grader. According to the Times: "She is a Scorpio. She loves apple pie. And she is the daughter of George and Mary White."

In “Wansapanataym Presents Perfecto,” Nash will portray the character of Perry, a young man who wanted to be perfect to please his mother and his crush Kylie (Alexa). Because of his insecurities, Perry is determined to do everything to achieve his dreams.

What will Perry have to sacrifice to get the perfect life he wanted? What experiences does he have to go through to realize that the purity of his heart is far more important than living a very ideal life?

VIDEO: BB Gandanghari Does ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

After being dared by his brother Robin Padilla and her wife Mariel Rodriguez, BB Gandanghari also took the ALS ice bucket challenge. BB dumped not just one but "two" bucket of ice-cold water.

As for BB, he nominated celebrity couple Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi to do the challenge within 24 hours or donate a hundred dollars to ALS research.

After being dared by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, Celebrity couple Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo also took the ALS ice bucket challenge, hours after the nomination, on Tuesday, August 27, 2014.

The couple nominated Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano, director Cathy Garcia-Molina, Kapuso child star Ryzza Mae Dizon, and basketball star LA Tenorio.

James Reid and Nadine Lustre Signed Contract with Kapamilya

James Reid and Nadine Lustre are the newest addition to ABS-CBN’s hottest love teams after the two inked a two-year contract with the network last Tuesday (August 26).

The stars of hit films “Diary ng Panget” and “Talk Back And You’re Dead” revealed that there are several projects lined up for them in ABS-CBN, including a TV series and recording albums.

James, who first rose to fame after he won as Big Winner of “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash,” considered his signing of contract as a sweet homecoming after a hiatus in showbiz.

“I always hoped to be back here in ABS-CBN. I started here — in ‘PBB’ — and it feels good to be home,” said James.

Meanwhile, Nadine, who first appeared in several shows in other networks and was a member of all-female singing group Pop Girls, admitted that she still can’t believe that she is now a Kapamilya.

“It feels good to be part of a new family. It’s not yet sinking in that I’m finally here,” she said.

Also present during the contract signings were ABS-CBN president and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, TV production head Laurenti Dyogi, and Viva Entertainment’s Vic del Rosario and Veronique del Rosario-Corpus.

Toni Gonzaga, Ready to Settle Down with Direk Paul Soriano

Ultimate multimedia star Toni Gonzaga admits that she is now ready to settle down with her seven-year boyfriend Paul Soriano, but denies the rumors they have already engaged.

“If he proposes, I will say yes. But as of now, I swear he has not proposed yet. Others think he has,” she says in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (August 27).

When asked what her ideal age for marriage is, Toni answers, “I already turned 30, but the year is not yet over. Maybe at the end of 2014, who knows? I’m ready for the next chapter of my life.”

Meanwhile, her younger sister Alex Gonzaga, who seems to be following Toni’s footsteps in singing, hosting, and acting, says she does not mind being a shadow of her elder sibling.

“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her. But sometimes, yes, I feel sad when my mommy and daddy give her more attention,” she explains.

Toni and Alex, who are now seen together via ABS-CBN Mobile’s reality show “Team Gonzaga,” admit that they were not close when they were growing up.

“When we were growing up, we didn’t get along well. Whenever I saw her face, i would feel annoyed,” shares Toni.

Despite their differences, they have learned to be on each other’s side because of their parents’ prodding.

Toni and Alex recall how they developed their close bond and how they attained the success in their respective careers in this episode of “Tapatan ni Tunying.”

Daniel Matsunaga Wins PBB All In! Congratulations!

Celebrity housemate Daniel Matsunaga has won the season of Pinoy Big Brother: All In. The "Hunk of the Word ng Makati" received P1-million pesos, an Asian tour for two, a brand new condominium unit at the Amaia Steps Novaliches, business franchise from Buco Loco and Mont Albo massage.

The 25-year-old Brazilian-Japanese model was not part of the 18 original housemates who entered the PBB house last April 27. Matsunaga entered the house two weeks after.

Vickie Rushton was the 4th big placer, followed by 3rd big placer Jane Oineza. The 2nd big placer was Maris Racal.

Teen 'Human Barbie' Lolita Rich has a tiny 20-inch (50 cm) waist, she wears 32F cup size bra, very beautiful face, smooth and fair skin, long slim legs, plus lovely long radiant hair. She has impossible body proportions and blank features which will truly make you wonder if she's a Barbie doll. She also wears contact lenses that mimic the wide-eyed doll stare.

According to Daily Mail, she started her barbie look about a year ago because she believes all women should be immaculate and well kept and this was her way of achieving her best look.

"People have openly told me that they're jealous of me and how good I look. All of the boys at school fancy me as well but I don't like any of them. They are not to my taste," Lolita explains.

"I started dressing up like this because I want to look perfect. I think that all women should be well-kept and immaculate. I wanted to be my own inspiration."

"If a girl doesn't have beautiful eyes then they should wear contact lenses to sort it out. If they have a crooked nose, then she must do something about it, whether that's plastic surgery or not. I had great features to start with and I just improved on them. My big breasts are natural although I sometimes wear a push-up bra to enhance them," she added.

Who is 'Miss Ripley'?

Primetime television’s newest “bida-kontrabida” makes her grand entrance this Monday (Aug 25) as ABS-CBN premieres the most provocative Koreanovela to hit Philippine TV — “Miss Ripley.”

Korean actress Lee Da Hae, who was first loved by Filipinos via the hit series “My Girl,” plays the seductive and deceitful Emily, a woman who will do everything she can to get what she wants, including rich hotelier Marco, portrayed by Park Yoo Chun of “Rooftop Prince,” “My Secret Love: Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and “Missing You.”

To escape her dark past and her life in Japan, Emily returns to Korea to start over. In order to do this, she tries to find a job but fails to get one since she only finished high school.

Desperate to be on top, Emily pretends to be someone else and makes hotel manager William believe that she is a graduate of the University of Tokyo. William then hires her for her ‘impressive background’ and good command of the Hakata language.

Greed further consumes her because apart from deceiving William so she can get a job, she also seduces him and tries to get him to fall in love with her. Just as when Emily gets her plans in place, Marco arrives to turn things around. After learning that Marco is the rich heir to a big hotel conglomerate, Emily sets her eyes on captivating his fortune and his heart.

Will she succeed in her plan? How will William react once he finds out about Emily’s infidelity? Who will stand by her side once the truth about her identity comes out?
