Monday afternoon, a normal flight was turned into an extraordinary and indeed incredible flight after a passenger of Dubai Cebu Pacific flight that's bound for Manila, gave birth inside the plane!
One of the passengers, Missy Berberabe Umandal has recalled how their flight became extra-memorable after her co-passenger felt some contractions mid-flight when they're still five hours away from the Philippines.
"Flight attendants started calling for medical assistance, and luckily, there were two nurses among the passengers. She was already crowning, so she was brought to the more spacious area in front of the plane," Umandal said in a Facebook post
"We only heard one semi-loud screech, and a few seconds later, there were tinier, cute screeches, and it was when we knew the baby was born. Luckily, she [passenger] only had to push once," she added.
The passenger then returned to her seat after she gave birth. Another kind hearted passenger also offered infant clothes for the newborn baby.
."One of the passengers had a suitcase full of infant clothes and necessities, which could not have come at a better time. They had a sterilized shelf filled mineral water as a makeshift wash basin to clean the baby in," Umandal added.
The baby who was named as Haven. She was born in India but will be given a Philippine passport and will have a Filipino citizenship.
The baby will then be given free Cebu Pacific Flights for the rest of her life But still, Cebu Pacific has yet to confirm this but this is a tradition to many airlines around the world.
