Sharon Cuneta Leaves Showbiz to Run as Pasay City Mayor in 2016

Sharon Cuneta is reportedly set to leave showbiz for good to run for public office in the coming election.

Rumors about Sharon Cuneta's political plans surfaced after her uncle, Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III said he is thinking of encouraging the Megastar to run for the same post once held by her father Pablo in Pasay City.

In 2012, the Megastar signed a reported record-breaking P1-billion contract with TV5, after leaving ABS-CBN. Earlier this year, she broke the news on her social media accounts, announcing that she is no longer with TV5, without going into details.
