Jason Fernandez, a former Rivermaya frontman who replaced coach Bamboo when he left the former hit band, earned a spot at Team apl.de.ap with his rendition of Eraserheads' "Ang Huling El Bimbo" during the Blind Auditions of "The Voice of the Philippines" that aired Sunday, November 24.
The 25-year-old former Rivermaya frontman was able to convince one of the show's judges, coach Apl.de.ap, who was impressed with his rendition of the song popularized by Eraserheads.
According to Jason Fernandez before he became the vocalist of Rivermaya, he also joined some singing contest when he was just a kid. After Fernandez went solo he released his own album.
