A shocking video emerged Tuesday from Mail Online showing One Direction members Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson sharing a roll up cigarette as they joke about marijuana en route to their concert in Peru last month.
The video released by Daily Mail, shows One Direction members sharing a roll up cigarette.
Band member Louis Tomlinson, 22, narrates behind the camera, “So here we are, leaving Peru. Joint lit. Happy days!” he’s heard saying. “What do you think about that kind of content?” to which Malik replies, “Very controversial.”
The bandmates had just wrapped up a show in Lima’s Estadio Nacional with Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan, all 20, who are not in the car with them.
In the footage, Louis also made fun of a suspicious-looking police motorcyclist tailing their vehicle. Even saying, "I’m sure I can smell an illegal substance in there. And he’s hit the nail on the head."
They reference smoking various times in the 5-minute video, with a member of their team even asking, “Are we allowed to talk contraband in this?” and Tomlinson replied, “Yes, that's what it is about.”
Shortly after the video was released, Zayn and Louis and #CutForZouis started trending on Twitter. The latter encourages fans to cut themselves, which many noted was a very serious matter and nothing to take lightly.
