Angel Aquino Portrays a Cancer Survivor in 'MMK'

ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” will give inspiration to women all over the world this Saturday (May 30) as it shares the life story of a cervical cancer survivor, to be portrayed by award-winning actress Angel Aquino.

In support of the cervical cancer awareness month, “MMK” will tell the story of Veron (Angel) a loving mother who dedicated her whole life to take care of her husband and their five children. Along with the pain of finding out about her husband’s infidelity, Veron finds out that she has cervical cancer.

Discover the truth about this alarming sickness among women through Veron’s story. Witness how she found the strength to overcome and survive the hardest challenge she has ever faced in her life.

Also featured in “MMK’s” episode this Saturday are Tonton Gutierrez, Kyline Alcantara, Trina Legaspi, Eliza Pineda, Laiza Comia, Louise Abuel, Dexia Daulat, Bea Basa, Kazumi Porquez, Carla Martinez, Wendy Valdez, and Gerard Cacao. It is under the direction of Nuel Naval and written by Arah Jell Badayos and Joan Habana. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos.
