A photo of Cong. Leni Robredo while waiting for a bus has gone viral online and draws praise from netizens after it was posted by blog RachFeed.
According to Rachfeed, Leni's friend, Keisha del Castillo, took her to the gasoline station so she can wait for the bus home. Keisha take a photo of the humble lawmaker, she posted this at her Facebook page with a caption, "The art of riding the bus to Naga: if you can't catch it in Cubao, you can always try to flag it down at the Magallanes Shell Station. Like Cong. Leni Robredo"
Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo was on her way home to Naga City without any bodyguard, wearing jeans and a shirt and carrying two bags.
The amused Congresswoman admitted that it was her, explaining that the photo was taken while she was waiting for the bus at Magallanes Shell Station after her Freedom Speech for FNF.
Yes, that is definitely me. Taken by Keisha del Castillo at the Magallanes Shell Station as I was waiting for my bus last night. Keisha brought me there from McKinley Hill in Taguig after I delivered my Freedom Speech for FNF. Definitely my worst angle but can’t resist posting. Nakakatawa lang. Parang nag alsa -balutan at naglayas ang drama :)
Her Facebook post, both funny and inspiring, drew more than 10, 000 likes, 780 comments, and 1,300 shares from netizens.
Netizens widely praised how Robredo remained humble and fearless despite the changes that happened to her life after her husband's untimely death in 2012.
