37TH Gawad Urian Announced this Year’s Winners

Following the night that honored and celebrated excellence in Philippine cinema over the past year, held by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, the Film Development Council of the Philippines, and Cinema One, the winners of this year’s 37th Gawad Urian have finally been announced.

The list of winners this 2014 is as follows:

• Pinakamahusay na Pelikula: Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan
• Pinakamahusay na Pangunahing Aktres: Angeli Bayani (Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan
• Pinakamahusay na Panguhahing Aktor: Joel Torre (On The Job)
• Pinakamahusay na Direksyon: Hannah Espia (Transit)
• Pinakamahusay na Dulang Pampelikula: Lav Diaz at Rody Vera (Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan)
• Pinakamahusay na Sinematograpiya: Lauro Rene Manda (Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan)
• Pinakamahusay na Disenyong Pamproduksyon: Adolfo Alix, Jr. (Porno)
• Pinakamahusay na Musika: Emerson Texon (Sonata)
• Pinakamahusay na Editing: Chuck Gutierrez (Riddles of My Homecoming)
• Pinakamahusay na Tunog: Corinne de San Jose (On The Job)
• Pinakamahusay na Dokumentaryo: Nanay Mameng
• Pinakamahusay na Maikling Pelikula: Missing
• Pinakamahusay na Pangalawang Aktor: Junjun Quintana (A Philippino Story)
• Pinakamahusay na Pangalawang Aktres: Angel Aquino (Ang Huling Chacha ni Anita)

The 37th Gawad Urian was presented by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino, Cinema One, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines.
