Kapamilya actor Vhong Navarro faced his alleged assailant, the group of Businessman Cedric Lee, on Tuesday afternoon, May 7, 2014 at the Taguig Regional Trial Court.
It was the first time Vhong Navarro, Cedric Lee, and Simeon Raz met in court after the mauling incident last January.
According to DZMM's report, Deniece was the first to show up at the Taguig RTC, arriving before 8 AM today. Cedric and Raz came around 1 PM, followed shortly by Vhong, who was summoned to appear in the court hearing.
The Regional Trial Court of Taguig City is hearing the petition for bail and motion filed by Cedric Lee and Simeon Raz to remain detained at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) compound.
Deniece Cornejo’s co-accused Cedric Lee and Simeon Palma were arrested last April 26 at the Municipality of Oras in Eastern Samar and currently in custody of National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) detention center since April 27. While other suspects Ferdinand Guerrero and Jed Fernandez remain at large.
These three are facing a non-bailable case of "serious illegal detention" and 3 more bailable offenses filed by Vhong in connection with the January mauling. Two other suspects, Jed Hernandez and Ferdinand Guerrero, remain at large.
