Toni Gonzaga, co-host of "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" cries while watching Alex Gonzaga, her sister and one of the housemates, confessed and opened up about their relationship as sisters on Friday May 2, 2014 episode of the reality show.
The 26-year-old co-host-turned housemate Alex Gonzaga, was called into the confession room by "Kuya" and asked her if she had already adjusted on living with her fellow housemate inside the PBB house, but later on "Kuya" turned the topic of their conversation to her older sister. "Kuya" asked Alex's relationship with Toni, especially on the significance of a necklace that her sister had gifted to her.
"Nakaka-miss din naman kasi talaga si [Toni], kasi mabait naman siya," she said tearfully but laughed, when asked why she was turning emotional. "Mabait ang ate ko, pero pag magkasama kami, hindi ko nari-realize na mabait siya. Kasi nga, minsan, parang masyado ate, protective, parang masyadong demanding. Hindi mo alam kung may gusto bang mapatunayan sa paigiging panganay," Alex relates to Big Brother.
Toni Gonzaga was so emotional as she showed her tearful reaction during the airing of the Pinoy Big Brother All In Friday episode. For the past few years Toni Gonzaga was unaware how Alex loved her because the younger Gonzaga kept mum with her personal relationship with Toni.
The 'Sassy Sister ng Rizal' continue to tell her relationship to "Kuya" that she only realize her sister’s kindness when they will be apart for a long time, just like now she was inside the PBB house she was not able to sleep with her sister every night because she was used to it. "Pag nagkahiwalay kami, mapapaisip ako… parang mapapaiyak ka na, ‘Mabait din talaga siya.’ Kaya naiiyak ako minsan talaga," the actress-TV host said.
"Kami ng ate ako, hindi kami sweet na sweet talaga na sobrang sweet, pero talagang marami kaming pinagdadaanan. Atsaka parang kahit minsan, irita ako sa kanya, siya talaga ‘yung tinuturing kong best friend. Kasi ako naman, tinuturing niya rin ako na [best friend]," Alex Gonzaga said.
According to Alex, she and Toni were not close during their childhood years, but when they get older they formed a strong bond that both of them knows.
"Nung bata kami, hindi kami close, lagi kaming nag-aaway," Alex said. "Ngayon, pag may problema ako, may problema siya sa lahat ng bagay, sinasabi niya sa akin. Ta’s may mga times na pinagtatanggol niya ako sa ibang tao, talagang pinoprotektahan niya ako. Pero hindi niya alam na alam ko.
Toni enters showbiz industry first in 1998, while Alex followed her sister in 2006.
"Kapag napag-iisa ako, doon ka naiisip na, ‘Ay, talagang mahal ko ‘yung pamilya ko,’" Alex said. "Doon ko nako-confirm. Kasi ‘diba gano’n ‘yon, mari-realize mo lang kung gaano ka-importante sa’yo ang isang bagay kapag wala na siya sa tabi mo."
Outside the "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" house, Toni Gonzaga was asked about her reaction to Alex confession, "Ngayon ko mas napatunayan na iba ‘yung samahan at pagmamahalan ng tunay na magkapatid kasi alam mong kahit ano’ng mangyari, alam mong may hindi mang-iiwan sa’yo," a tearful and smiling Toni answered.
"Pinoy Big Brother: All In" airs weeknights on Primetime Bida on Saturdays and Sundays as part of ABS-CBN's Yes! Weekend line-up. Afternoon updates are also aired via "Uber" on weekdays.
