On Facebook, former Kapamilya star Claudine Barretto reportedly dead, the report was posted by a certain page "u-watchme.com/" and shared on social networking sites.
According to their HOAX claim posted on facebook,
"R. I. P. CLAUDINE BARRETO (1979 - 2014). Namatay ang Actress dahil sa DRUG OVERDOSE Age Restricted Video.(for 18 years old and above only)"
The site claiming the death of Claudine Barretto uses fake "www.abs-cbnnews.com" themes.
Links from the posts connect to rogue Facebook apps that request permission to access users' profile info and post to their timelines, enabling the scams to reproduce themselves.
