Jason Francisco and Melai Cantiveros are proud parents of baby Amelia Lucille, on Sunday, April 20, they showed their baby on "Buzz ng Bayan," almost three weeks since Melai gave birth.
Jason Francisco said in an exclusive interview with 'Buzz ng Bayan,'
"Hindi ko nga inexpect 'yung feeling. Speechless ka talaga pero makikita sa expression ng muka ko 'yung saya. Hindi ako makapaniwala kasi anak mo 'yun eh. Feeling mo, paano nangyari yun? Lumaki doon [sa tiyan ni Melai] tapos lumabas? Parang National Geographic, sobrang amazing," he said.
Recalling the first time he saw his daughter, Francisco shared,
"Natakot naman ako na hawakan kasi malambot pa. Ang una kasing ginawa, nilagay sa lap ng mama niya. Ang laki agad ng mata niya, nagulat ako."
Francisco also said he was one who chose the name Amelia Lucille for his daughter. He vowed to look after his child until Cantiveros recovers and can be a hands-on mom.
"Gusto ko siya na mag-rest muna kasi pwede siya mabinat. Half bath pa lang siya. Hindi siya pwede ng mabibigat na trabaho," he said.
Francisco revealed that he will immediately go back to work to secure his daughter’s future.
"Importante na i-secure ang future ni baby. Kapag may anak ka, doon mo mare-realize na kahit wala na sa 'yong matira, basta trabaho lang ng trabaho hanggang sa ma-secure na ang future ni baby. Feeling ko nga nagbabahay-bahayan kami pero totoo," he said.
Asked what is his wish for his daughter, he said,
"Sana lumaki siya na mabait at healthy. Gusto ko lumaki siya na strong at independent."
Talking about baby Amelia Lucille's baptism, Francisco said they will soon pick a date, but, they have already picked their baby’s godparents. Among them are Kris Aquino, Eddie Garcia, Tom Rodriguez and Angelica Panganiban.
