Hunk actor Enrique Gil finally speaks up on his reported drunken incident while on a plane from Manila to London on September 4.
In an interview with TV Patrol that was aired on September 11, Gil sent his apologies and specifically mentioned Jessy Mendiola, who he showed inappropriate attitude. He also apologized to her partner, JM De Guzman.
"I had some drinks sa plane, I mean, more than I should be having, so as a result things got out of hand. At dahil po doon, I wanted to apologize to my brothers and sisters from Star Magic. I sincerely apologize to Jessy, to JM if I ever I offended him in any way, I'm so sorry," Gil said.
"Tao lang nagkakamali, we all makes mistakes but you own up to it, you learn from it and you move forward," he added.
Gil was accompanied by his on-screen and rumored partner Liza Soberano, who thanked the fans who the everlasting love and support.
According to reports, confrontation took over after Luis Manzano came into the defense of Mendiola. The rift was immediately fixed after Gil apologized.
In the same report by TV Patrol, the rift was confirmed by June Rufino, the manager of Luis.
According to a report by Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep), Paulo Avelino and Jake Cuenca gave Enrique the alcoholic drinks. Jake vehemently denied that he had a hand on the incident saying he had a clear conscience. Paulo, on the other hand, said the story should be heard straight from Gil.
The actors visited London for the ASAP 20 concert in the said city.
