Iloilo Airport Janitors Found and Returned Nearly P1 Million in Cash

Rubilyn Dela Peña and Edgar Penit, the two honest janitors of Iloilo Airport who reportedly found and returned international currencies worth nearly P1 million in cash.

According to reports, Janitors - Dela Peña and Penit, found and returned a bag containing international currencies - dollars and dinars. The bag was left behind at the airport's pre-departure area.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 6 confirmed the reports. The two janitors’ honesty were already recognized by the Iloilo City government and DOT. On Friday, DOT Western Visayas Head Helen Catalbas told Bombo Radyo that she will nominate the two honest janitors for the department's Tourism Star Awards.
