Kokey Santos, a young boy who sells hot pandesal in Caloocan City, has been robbed by an unidentified man who initially disguised as a buyer.
The video, which circulated via Facebook, showing Mark Christian a 12-year-old boy trembling and crying in front a convenient store in Caloocan city.
According to Christopher Pachecho, the original uploader of the video, the little boy was robbed by a man using a knife after buying bread from him. The filthy robber took his P200 ($5)-earning along with his remaining breads and ran away quickly.
"Kawawang bata nagtitinda lang ng pandesal dinukutan pa ng mama ..hoy hoy hoy!!!mamang kolokoy maghanap buhay ka naman ng marangal!!!!" said Pacheco.
ABS-CBN News was able to locate the child and his mother. They already asked for help from the barangay officials who have escalated the issue to the Philippines National Police (PNP).
The boy, who use to sell the bread in order to have some allowances for his schooling, was now traumatized. The mother said he doesn’t want to sell bread anymore as he fears for his life. He also use to demand companion when going to school.
He is third among four sibling with a single mom who only use to wash other people’s clothes for a living.
